Kenneth Fron Goes International!

jennifer ball
February was truly a growth month and '09 begins a milestone year, as Kenneth Fron Jewelry reaches new heights. On February 9, 2009 Jennifer Ball from Bannockburn, Scotland became the 1st international client by ordering the "Glam Rocks" necklace! (See Customer Testimonials). Jennifer was so pleased with her purchase that on February 16, she then ordered the "Have A Heart" necklace and the "Femme Fatale" necklace (shown here in photo). Jennifer didn't stop there. On February 28th "Pink Lipgloss" was ordered and Jennifer tucked it away for a very special gift. Ms. Ball is now well on her way to also becoming the 1st international Kenneth Fron VIP Club member, with only one more necklace to purchase!

Here is what Jennifer says about her "Femme Fatale" necklace: "This wonderful necklace is perfect for when l feel "girlie" and want to wear pastels. The Rose Quartz seems full of good karma, partly from the lovely stones and partly from Kenneth Fron who puts so much love into his work. The small details show how much Kenneth understands women and how we like to be individual. This one also has drawn admiring glances and l was stopped and asked where it was bought, l was so happy to say it was one of a kind and to pass on Kenneth's web site". Jennifer xxxxx

Thank you very much, Jennifer for giving Kenneth Fron Jewelry an International Flair!

Kenneth Fron donated two necklaces for the Redheads Against Leukemia - A Benefit for Susie, held on February 6, 2009 at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL.

In September 2008, Susan Johnson was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. AML is a debilitating, aggressive cancer that attacks the blood cells and bone marrow. In addition, she developed complications resulting in a blood clot in her leg. With the help of family and friends, Susie was quickly admitted to Northwestern Hospital. There, she began the rigorous battle against cancer, and treatment of the clot. She had undergone multiple red-blood cell and platelet transfusions. Slowly regaining her strength, she then began the intensive treatments of twenty-four hour chemotherapy for seven days. She remained in the hospital for one month, away from her family and loved ones. Unfortunately, leukemia is not curable and the only hope for anyone diagnosed with it is lifelong remission, until a cure is found.

It is with great sadness to hear that after the benefit, Susie was called home by the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Susie was a loving wife of 25 years to her husband Bobby, a mother to Jason and Missy. She was a sister to 7 brothers and sisters. She has held the hands, wiped the tears, and supported two sisters whom suffered breast cancer; and has had to say goodbye to her brother and father she lost last year to heart disease. She was a devoted aunt to her many loving nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a friend with a tender heart filled with hope, love, and compassion for all those in her life. The necklaces donated for the silent auction included: "Love in Bloom" and "Greek Isles". Proceeds of the auction helped pay mounting medical expenses. JP Roe, connected with the benefit said:that they raised $280.00 total, regarding the necklaces. Pictures of the benefit can be found by clicking here.

For the second year, Kenneth Fron custom designed and donated two necklaces for The Anti-Cruelty Society’s 6th Annual “It’s Raining Cat’s and Dogs!” benefit. The event was held on October 13, 2006. It is an eagerly awaited annual gala to help raise funds for the on-going care and adoption of our furry friends.

The benefit was co-chaired by Martha Turner and Ellen Edleman.

The Event Emcee was legendary Chicago television news personality Walter Jacobson and his wife, Susie.

Kenneth says: “I am very proud to have a relationship with the Anti-Cruelty Society and to help the community as a whole. We're fortunate to have a quality facility that helps and cares for our neglected and homeless animals and provides families with loving pets". Kenneth adds: "I was going for a different look this year, with the necklaces. Last year, they were very glam and sparkly. This year, I was going for an "earthy" feel. For the cat necklace, I envisioned a woman who was wearing her favorite sweater, reading a good book with a cup of tea, with her "cat" nearby. For the dog necklace, I thought about the guys this year and did something unisex!”

“Raining Cats–2006” is a longer cat-themed necklace, featuring (8) glass cat beads and (6) glass cat face beads. It has (30) green apple floral painted beads, (18) wood beads, (2) wood heart beads and (1) wood cat pendant.

“Raining Dogs-2006” is a 20 ½ inch unisex necklace, featuring (12) porcelain brown & white St. Bernard dogs, (7) milky white glass bone beads, (19) red chunk beads and (39) white shells.

UPDATE! Approx. $200 raised! Thank you for your support!

SUPPORT A HERO!
Jill Hendrickson, of Rosemount, MN owns four Kenneth Fron necklaces. (At left, in Testimonial photo, Jill is wearing "Elegant Pink Drop"). Jill's husband, Ken Hendrickson is a U.S. Navy Reserve 1st Class Petty Officer. He was severely injured in Iraq on June 5, when the Humvee he was traveling in struck a roadside bomb. As a Gunner, he was riding out the top of the vehicle when it hit the bomb and was thrown a considerable distance. He sustained multiple injuries, including broken bones (both legs and pelvis) and burst his lumbar vertebrae. He had pieces of bone in the spinal canal, and there was some damage to Ken’s pancreas. Two sailors inside the same Humvee, from Wisconsin and Illinois were killed. Ken has been under doctor’s care and is slowly recovering. He is currently wheel-chair bound and remains in good spirits. While Ken was recuperating in Bethesda, Maryland, he was visited by President George W. Bush and had an official photo taken with the President. He was also visited by legendary singer Ozzy Osbourne, actor Tom Selleck and assorted service personnel. On July 11, Ken received the Navy’s Purple Heart award. His wife, Jill has been at his side.

As one can imagine, when a major family tragedy like this occurs, expenses can mount quickly. The Farmington, MN American Legion is sponsoring an 18-Hole Kenny Open Golf Scramble, a Spaghetti Dinner and a Silent Auction on Sunday, September 17th to show their support of the couple. Kenneth Fron has donated two necklaces, “Adelaide” and “Perfectly Peridot” for the silent auction. Please call Matt Pannier @ 612-710-6626 to participate in the golf outing or Adrienne Stark @ 952-445-2770 with questions on the silent auction, dinner, door prize drawings or the benefit.

Because this incident has hit home on a personal level for Kenneth Fron, Kenneth wishes to help his good customer & friend and support her husband, Ken Hendrickson even more. A fund has been established for the couple and Kenneth Fron is personally donating $25 from each necklace sold on September 16 and 17 (48 hours) to coincide with the activities held in Minnesota, making it a "Ken Hendrickson Weekend". This is a great opportunity to purchase a beautiful necklace or gift on the Web site Catalog and also help a true American Hero. All necklace purchases count towards the VIP Club.

“I consider all of my customers an extended family”, say Kenneth. “Anytime I can bring happiness or pleasure through my jewelry, or help towards a worthy cause, it is one of the greatest things I can ever do. I invite you to please consider making a purchase and together we can make a difference. Thank you!”
