This compact 5 ½-inch vintage Italian Florentine wall plaque is a masterclass in classic Mid-Century Grand Tour revival decor. Featuring a scalloped, baroque-style frame finished in brilliant gold gilt, it shows the characteristic hand-carved, distressed texture unique to authentic Florentine woodwork. Encased within its gilded borders is a miniature, heavily crazed decoupage print depicting an 18th-century classical Roman capriccio reminiscent of Giovanni Paolo Panini, where travelers and hounds wander amidst majestic ruin columns and weathered stone monuments. Its petite scale and rich, antiqued patina make it an incredibly charming, highly collectible accent piece that brings a sense of Old World European elegance to any gallery wall.

This item is numbered on the back and stamped ITALY. Features its wall hanger for hanging.
